Agile ways of working promise greater flexibility, faster decision-making, and more innovation. But introducing Agile into established Japanese organizations can be challenging, particularly when traditional management practices and organizational expectations conflict with Agile principles.
What does it really take to make Agile work in a Japanese corporate environment?
Join Rochelle Kopp, Managing Principal of Japan Intercultural Consulting, for an interactive workshop exploring the cultural and organizational challenges of Agile transformation in Japan.
Drawing on her experience helping Japanese companies adopt Agile and new ways of working, including a collaborative initiative with Microsoft, Rochelle will introduce some of the common obstacles, such as hierarchical decision-making, risk aversion, reluctance to challenge established practices, and difficulties empowering self-managed teams.
Participants will then share their own experiences, discuss approaches that have worked (and those that haven't), and collaboratively identify practical strategies for overcoming these challenges.
Who should attend: Innovation leaders, transformation professionals, Agile practitioners, managers, consultants, and anyone interested in changing how Japanese organizations work.
What you'll take away: Fresh perspectives, practical ideas, and insights from others facing similar challenges, along with new connections with people working to make Japanese organizations more agile and innovative.
This is a participatory workshop, not a traditional lecture. Come prepared to share your experiences, questions, and ideas.
